If you don't happen to find your questions shown here, please contact us with your inquiry.
Q: What will be the cost of designing
and producing plans for my facility?
A: DaySpaDesign.com has a set, 'pay-one-price' fee for our design
services based on the square footage we will be responsible to
create. That way, you know up front exactly what the cost for
your design services will be instead of an unknown fee based on
accumulated hourly rates. Our standard packages start at
$2000.00 for facilities 1,000 sq. ft. or smaller.

Q: How big does my facility need to be
to include the services I have decided to provide?
A: DaySpaDesign.com has hundreds of plans to reference from
completed projects over the years to help you calculate the space
you will need to consider for the services you are going to provide.
We have created an intricate spreadsheet as a powerful tool that
accesses our space allocation database of completed projects.
Therefore, we can provide you with a very accurate estimate of the
size building or lease space you will need.

allocation and area analysis services)
Q: How will I know what services to
include in my salon or spa? What ratio of salon to spa area
should I choose?
A: DaySpaDesign.com recommends that you hire an expert to answer
these questions for you. The selection of services has more to
do with a business plan, feasibility study and your particular
history and expertise in the industry. We work closely with
the 'best in the business' via our 'Salon and Spa Industry Resource
Partners'. These are spa and salon business experts whom we have
worked with on successfully opened facilities in the past. We
highly recommend you consider their services. Do it right the
first time.

Q: Will I need an architect in addition
to design services provided by DaySpaDesign.com?
A: DaySpaDesign.com is a design service dedicated to the spa and
salon industries. We are not an architecture firm, however, we
DO create the CAD plans 'in-house' utilizing our years of experience
and business relationships in the spa and salon industry.
We will eliminate the need for the architect to do the upfront work
that they would normally have to research for, billing you at an
hourly rate. DaySpaDesign.com will take your plans
through what architects term as 'Design Development' phase as well
as providing Interior Design Services. We will provide your
architect with a completed CAD file when our services are completed.
Your local architect should compensate you for the work already
completed by DaySpaDesign.com in their quote for creating
'Construction Documents'. You'll need this level of architect
approved plans for submitting to your local building department to
obtain you building permits.

Q: Can DaySpaDesign.com work with my
local architect or will they provide one for me?
A: DaySpaDesign.com is not an architects firm. We will need an
architect to complete and approve the 'Construction Documents' phase
of your plans. We would be happy to work with your choice of
local architect and provide them with a CAD file when our
DaySpaDesign.com's portion of the plans are completed. We also
have a nationwide network of competent registered architects that
can provide their professional services to obtain your building
permits.
DaySpaDesign.com highly recommends using a local architect that can
supervise the construction on a regular basis and look out for your
best interests. Besides, a local architect has connections
with the building department particulars and will get your plans
approved more quickly than someone out of state.

Salon Tools Eat Energy
Hair salon station tools can require up to 30amps for today's modern
salon gear. These heat producing elements take more power.
Leaving them on constantly heats the space so the air conditioners
work harder. So, if you can stand to unplug your heated
element tools between services, you can save MUCH energy and help
your company become a 'greener' enterprise.

Know Your Spa Design Team
Review spa references and experience of the spa design team you are
considering before making a costly decision. Be certain the design
team you choose has the knowledge of the industry and relative
experience required to provide you with a properly designed
facility. Apparent savings for unproven design services up front
can likely cost you plenty, when the effects of design flaws
become apparent. This will likely cost you in delays to the
completion of your project and your overall profitability.
